Classroom Assessment for Immediate Results
Educators and school leaders often struggle to measure the progress of the students in their care in a quick and intuitive way. Tangerine:Teach (formerly Tangerine:Class) helps educators to understand student progress and mastery of reading and mathematics through customized curriculum-based checks. Through rapid assessments administered throughout the school term, educators can pinpoint when and where to refocus instructional time. Classroom performance trends can be compared against benchmarks and targets to provide educators important and timely insight on learning. Student assessment data and trends are stored in each tablet, removing any need for an Internet connection.
Working entirely offline, Tangerine:Teach provides simple to use reports that can help teachers see which of their students are doing well (colored in green, above), and which may need remediation and more attention (those in red and orange, above). Importantly, these data do not need to be stored online in order to be useful. This not only allows for reliable, immediate availability of performance data, it allows educators to retain control over their learners' progress data. This is particularly important in contexts where educators and school administrators may fear punitive action from education officials should their performance data not meet targets. Tangerine:Teach was built with one purpose in mind: providing educators the tools they can trust to collect data that can inform instruction quickly and easily.
